Ivan – Yacht Captain in Dubrovnik and Cavtat

Captain Ivan was born in Dubrovnik in 1998 and raised in the charming seaside town of Cavtat. The Adriatic Sea shaped his life from an early age. After taking his first sailing lessons at the local yacht club, he knew his future belonged on the water.

During summer holidays, Ivan worked as a sailor on day-excursion boats visiting the Elaphiti Islands. He quickly earned trust and soon found himself steering the “big boat” alone. That moment defined his dream: to become a captain.

While pursuing his maritime education, Ivan worked as a speed boat skipper. He gained a strong reputation among Dubrovnik charter companies thanks to his responsibility, calm approach, and genuine care for both guests and vessels.

Ivan’s ambition to captain a yacht of his own led him to Gabriel Watersports. With the company’s trust and support, he personally selected his yacht—a Princess F43 Contessa from Denmark. Moreover, he organized and oversaw its transport to Dubrovnik, ensuring every detail met his standards.

After months of preparation, Ivan finally took the helm of one of the most desirable yachts in the region. Today, Contessa is renowned for its immaculate condition and exceptional service—something Ivan treats as his personal mission.

As the new season begins, he looks forward to welcoming guests and creating unforgettable memories at sea. His favorite destinations include Korčula, Mljet, and Lastovo, each offering unique experiences for travelers.
